The Bruises Of Summer – Williamsburg

Wolf Whistle – Franklin Street, Greenpoint

In Brooklyn on Saturday, Nov. 2nd – whenever I’m biking by Wolves Within on the amazingly low-key Franklin Street shopping corridor in Greenpoint, I often glance in and see the owner Bethany wearing the cutest outfits! On Saturday I could take no more…and even though I was balancing a chair I’d purchased at the Brooklyn Flea on my handlebars, I had to stop and shoot her photo.

Postcards From The Edge – Brooklyn

Hi guys – if you haven’t made it down to the Brooklyn Flea lately (don’t even tell me you’ve never been) – well this weekend is your last chance for some fun outdoor flea shopping and stylish people watching and yummy artisanal food sampling, etc. After this weekend, the Flea moves indoors for the winter season…which is not as much fun. (But then I’m not the sort of person who tends to associate the words “winter” and “fun” a great deal anyway – perhaps I should take up snowboarding or something?) Anyway, I hope to see some of you guys out there this weekend! I spotted these stylish cuties at the Flea last Sunday, 11.13.11. Have a great weekend everyone! xx Mr. Newton

Spaghetti Eastern

Spotted at the Brooklyn Flea in Williamsburg on Sunday 10.23.11. While I didn’t actually see any tumbleweeds blowing through the lot, there was definitely some sort of spaghetti western thing going on style-wise. I mean, the neo-Navajo thing has been hot for a while now…but this was a whole ‘nother level of Ennio Morricone-soundtracked, Man With No Name realness. Clint Eastwood and Chuck Bronson as female fashion icons – who woulda thunk? xo
