Come Sail Away

Spotted at Broadway Market…why is it that an outfit that might look costume-y anywhere else makes perfect sense in London?? Context is everything. I took National Rail out to London Fields and had a great day at Broadway Market – didn’t buy anything but ate at 4 or 5 different stalls – the best food was the spinach and agushi and spicy rice and yummy beef stew that the dudes from Ghana were dishing out. London is all about the market scene and I love it! Loads and loads more photos to come from Broadway Market, Portobello Road, Columbia Road Flower Market, and Brick Lane of course! x Mr. Newton

  1. Well I like her shoes but for me it’s all about her big anchor necklace! And her pose…and the East End background…

  2. your blog is like my favourite street style blog, but I would love it even more if you would post pictures more often 🙂

  3. Hi Amanda – thank you very much! I’m really glad that you like my blog. I hear what you’re saying about posting more often and that’s something that I’m working on. This summer the weather was so nice in NYC that it was easy to shoot a lot but hard to actually make myself sit indoors and edit/post – hehe! Then the last several weeks (Sept/Oct) have included travel in Europe and projects/deadlines with other websites and magazines that purchase my photos. Sometimes it seems like that I have to make time for everything except my main job/passion which is my blog, Mr. Newton. BUT – the next 12 weeks or so (from now to say, mid-January) there will be plenty of grey/cold days…and I only have two trips planned during that period…SO lots of time to edit, write, post, and BLOG! Stay tuned! xo

  4. She looks like a beautiful seawoman. Besides the fact that her dress is beautiful and she is beautiful and the pose shows she knows all this, THOSE SHOES!!!

  5. Oooh, I thought about buying that dress in an a-line cut, but decided I’d have nowhere to wear it… If only the East End were an option!
