At The Rag & Bone Casting – New York

I shot these photos on Sunday, September 4th at the casting for Rag & Bone’s S/S 2012 fashion show…and speaking of fashion shows…it’s time for New York Fashion Week! Can you believe it?!?! I’ll be out and about shooting street style at loads of runway shows and other events – starting today, in fact – though NYFW doesn’t officially start until tomorrow. I’ll be posting lots of photos here for you guys to see of course! So much going on already that I want to share with you…let’s see…well I’ve done a few interviews the last few days…mostly related to the run-up to NYFW and the excitement and anticipation surrounding it…if you want to read a couple of these there’s one at Fashionista that’s up now (along with 40 of my photos, including some that I shot in Sydney and Tokyo that you guys have prob never seen)…there’s also a new mini-interview on New York magazine’s website. Also…if you’re in New York…and have not yet been bombarded with ideas and invites for Fashion’s Night Out…well…you can always come hang out with me. I’m collaborating with Van Cleef & Arpels and doing a photo booth in their iconic boutique on 5th Ave. and 57th Street from 6-9pm. You can try on some of their drop-dead chic jewelry and I’ll snap your photo wearing it. I really hope that some of you can make it out…and if you do, please grab me and say hello! xx Mr. Newton

  5. The whole time I lived in NYC, and while I was attending FIT (as a photo major) I didn’t really think too much about “fashion”. Weird I know! But now that I’m gone I’m totally obsessed and kicking myself for never having attempted to sneak a peak at NYFW like some other friends did. Needless to say I am extremely excited for your photos this year and cannot wait to see what I’m missing out on! Please share loads of images <3

  6. Hey Cristina and Jessie – I enjoyed reading you guys comments! Thanks! Yes Cristina, I’m going to shoot and post a ton of images between now and the end of Paris Fashion Week – I’m glad to hear that you’re excited for them! x
