Spotted at the Brooklyn Flea in Williamsburg on Sunday 10.23.11. While I didn’t actually see any tumbleweeds blowing through the lot, there was definitely some sort of spaghetti western thing going on style-wise. I mean, the neo-Navajo thing has been hot for a while now…but this was a whole ‘nother level of Ennio Morricone-soundtracked, Man With No Name realness. Clint Eastwood and Chuck Bronson as female fashion icons – who woulda thunk? xo

Walking through Soho with friends one morning last week, I spotted adorable Becky sitting just like this – she was taking a break across the street from the bookstore where she works. The heels are Marc Jacobs borrowed from a friend (“a long time ago…and now she’s going to see this!”)…and the boyfriend jeans were actually borrowed from her boyfriend – perfect!
I heart Miu Miu glitter booties! Don’t you just love ‘em?? I mean they’re a little ridiculous…and they’re all sparkly…and they have that beautiful/silly curved heel…and they cost like $20 million dollars – all of which makes them highly impractical – which is exactly the point. EVERYONE who buys these feels like she’s treating herself – you can’t even kid yourself that these are wardrobe staples that you’ll “get lots of wear” out of. This is a fashion item that is meant to make the owner SMILE – seriously everyone who buys them probably puts them on and walks back and forth in front of their bedroom mirror grinning like a f-ing idiot! haha They’re pretty much a recession-proof item and should be taught at fashion schools during courses on creating consumer desire. Here are 3 real-life sightings that I shot on the street during Milan Fashion Week – September, twenty eleven. Have a great weekend everyone! xo
I always love seeing my friend Kristin (aka The Clothes Whisperer) – she’s back in London now – but we were hanging out earlier this week in New York and I snapped this photo of her on Houston St. x
Hi! So many photos to show you guys from the recent Fashion Month – New York, London, Milan, Paris…plus I want to mix in some brand new photos that I’ve been shooting as well. I’ve been back in NYC (from Europe) for about 12 days now and I’m just starting to feel like I’m recovering…it was a serious fashion hangover, let me tell you! It was well worth the effort required though because I think the photos from the past month or so are among the best photos I’ve ever shot…well, they’re certainly some of my personal favorites if nothing else. Here’s Ginta (above) doing the blogger’s walk in the Tuileries at sunset on 9.30.11. xx
