Paris Fashion Week – Bag, Lady

Paris Fashion Week – PFW x ADR

Paris Fashion Week – City Bike Chic

Girls of New York

Hi there – I’m super excited at the moment because I’m heading to the airport later today to fly to Paris for Fashion Week! Can you believe it?? I think I may have the best job in the world! And…if that wasn’t exciting enough…I’ll be arriving early on Wednesday…which happens to be…wait for it…my birthday! And…there’s more…I’ll be heading to London after Paris to hit Portobello Road and Brick Lane markets…and I’ll be shooting London street fashion too of course! You can follow me on Twitter if you want to hear more about my travels. So, Paris photos coming soon…for now, here are more of my shots from New York Fashion Week. I hope Anna doesn’t mind me calling her a girl… xx Mr. Newton

Walk On The Wild Side

Hats Off To Lincoln Center!

Lincoln Center is such an awesome new venue for New York Fashion Week…after just one season it’s already one of my favorite places to shoot street style in the world. Lots more NYFW photos still to come from Lincoln Center and all around town!

Her jeans and heeled-oxfords worn without socks are cute…but here it’s all about her hair and her huge floppy hat and her high-necked linen blouse with the antique lace detail at the collar and cuffs. This all looks perfect together! It really suits her and looks quite natural as well.

Urban Explorer

Sometimes people accuse me of shooting “Urban Outfitters catalog-ish” looks…and I’m sure they have photos like these two above in mind when they say this. And if by “Urban Outfitters catalog” they mean that I like girls who are feminine, girly, and on-trend…girls whose looks combine a bit of Stockholm Euro-preppie with a bit of London quirk with a bit of New York art school edginess with a bit of cute Midwestern vintage shopper then yeah, I loove Urban Outfitters looks. I certainly wouldn’t shy away from shooting someone with truly directional and fashion-forward style…but I’m generally far more excited by the cute and the wearable and the adorably approachable. The girl next door with an eye for style is who I’m looking for. Are you out there? xo Mr. Newton

Rave Review

A techno-hippie on the Upper West Side! Spotted near the NYFW tents at Lincoln Center, her tech-y tie-dyed caftan had me flashing back for a moment to the desert and Coachella and glam summer festival style. Her jewelry is pitch-perfect as well – the long silver medallion necklace with the black feathers is the perfect accessory for this outfit. Not completely sold on the shoes and socks…but they do drag her look out of mid-summer and add a touch of fall and a return to “serious” dressing if nothing else. xx

Style by Kling

Elin Kling is nothing short of an icon in Swedish fashion circles – I’ve shot her photo on several different occasions in Stockholm. I was happy to see her at Lincoln Center early yesterday as I’ve never run into her in New York before. Little did I know she was to be one of a trio of well known Scandinavians who would cross my path during the course of the day…scroll down to see photos of the other two Nordic beauties. It’s Scandinavians in New York day on Mr. Newton! xx
